Last few days, watermelon cocktails with vodka were a regular feature at Amsterdam Republic parties, so I’m giving you the recipe to kick off a delicious weekend!
Ingredients for a Vodka Watermelon Cocktail
250 ml vodka
4 teaspoons lime juice
½ medium watermelon
3 sprigs of fresh mint
possibly a few drops of Tabasco if you want to spice things up
Lets make an Vodka Watermelon Cocktail
Pour the vodka and lime juice into a blender. Scoop out some of the flesh of the watermelon and put it in the blender, leaving the blender running. Add as much flesh as necessary until you have exactly 1 litre of watermelon cocktail.
Then pick the leaves from the mint sprigs and add to the cocktail. Blend well again and season with a few drops of Tabasco, if necessary.
Pour the Watermelon cocktail into a bottle, close the cap and store in the refrigerator.
You can also put the bottle in the freezer to chill faster. Serve the watermelon cockails in a low glass, possibly with a few cubes of ice and some fresh mint.
